A definitive luxury destination, Millburn (pop. 20,000), and its elegant Short Hills section offer prime public and private school experiences and sophisticated downtown boutique shopping opportunities along with some of Essex County’s most remarkable private home inventory.

At nearly $1M, now, Millburn’s average residential home sale towers over those in neighboring towns, although its taxes, in many cases, are somewhat less. Millburn is proud home to the Paper Mill Playhouse/State Theater of NJ, The Mall at Short Hills, and a number of highly regarded restaurants.

Private schools in town are Far Brook and Pingry (lower school). Natives include actors John C. McGinley and Anne Hathaway, popular author Belva Plain, baseballer David Justice, and  CNBC’s “Squawk Box’s” Joe Kernen.
