What do we love most about Union/Roselle Park/Rahway/Linden/Springfield?

• Letting my son loose on the giant inflatables at PUMP IT UP in Roselle Park – another Saturday afternoon for ANOTHER birthday party with his class of screaming toddlers…

• Get your fancy date night on at RAILHOUSE 1449 in Rahway

• Rt. 22, while often harrowing to u-turn on, has every single shopping destination I EVER need…plus my favorite restaurant in the area – Rio 22 (rodizio means a night of the “meat sweats,” as my husband likes to call it)

• Little kids with sticks hitting glow-in-the-dark balls in the dark at Monster Mini Golf in Union….what could possibly go wrong?

• Showing off during bingo and trivia night at Dowlings Irish Pub in Roselle Park – good beers, too

• Get excited about OLD STUFF at the Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University in Union!

• Excellent pizza at Costa’s in Roselle Park – best wait staff ever – water glass never empty

• Man, Rahway is really pulling out all the stops for both arts, food and general coolness about town – check out annual Restaurant Week

• Bowl a few frames at Jersey Lanes in Linden

• Echo Lake Lark which has the BEST dog park and pondside nature walk around…although I am always a mosquito banquet when I go there…

• 4 faces around a Scorpion bowl, sucking down girly drinks way faster than advisable at the bastion to 50’s dining…Lun Wah Restaurant & Tiki Bar in Roselle

• Afternoon picnics at Warinanco Park – running course around the pond, paddle boats, fishing & events all the time – you can even walk to shopping on Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth from the park…as well as get a gut busting meal at the Coliseum Diner

• Enjoy the annual “culture crawl” in Rahway – who can pass up themes like “Celebrating the Cultural Tapestry of Rahway?”

• Excellent hiking at the Watchung Reservation

• Getting my frustrations out in the batting cages at The Ballpark in Union

• Spot THE LAB FOOD TRUCK around Roselle Park – what’s the secret to their delicious food?  (Dr. Pepper in the BBQ sauce…why are we whispering?  Everyone knows…)

• Get your swing on at the Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield – aren’t you fancy?

• Helicopter lessons at Core Heli Helicopter Flight School in Linden – I think I have a Groupon somewhere….soar high!  (If you dare…)
